Monday – Friday between 06.00hrs and 19.00hrs on a rota basis.
Saturday Mornings 1 in 4 Saturdays 06.00hrs to 12.00noon paid additionally to salary.

We have a fantastic opportunity at our newly refurbished office in Lichfield for a high performing, motivated, hands-on Transport Planner, to join our existing team.
As a Walkers Transport Planner you will be responsible and accountable for-
· Planning our vehicles effectively to achieve OTIF (On Time In Full).
· Ensure all customer collections are achieved.
· Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands.
· Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all day-to-day activities are met to the highest possible standards.
· Ensuring our drivers are delivering OTIF and reporting delays effectively.
· Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment.
· Managing of Company expectations by ensuring drivers are effectively using in-cab technology and obtaining Pod’s eta’s and relevant paperwork.
Skills & Attributes:
· Experience of a pallet network operations is essential for a fast-moving traffic office.
· The ability to utilize and manage drivers effectively.
· Full training for the in-house systems will be provided, however a good knowledge of computer skills will be required.
· Good geographic/and road network knowledge of the DE/WS is essential.
· Flexible approach with regards to working hours
· Able to work under pressure in a time-critical environment.
· Previous experience of working with Transport Planning and Management Systems.
· Well organised with an acute attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role you’ll have been a transport planner for a minimum of 2 years, with a proven track record, experienced in planning, very strong communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with other departments.

Applicant Requirements:
We are looking for someone who has a strong experience with FLT within a Pallet network, the environment is fast passed, and you will be working in a busy cross dock warehouse. Your ability to communicate, engage and look for improvement within a warehouse environment are key aspects of the role.
An Flt Licence with counterbalance is essential.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
