Walkers team raise over £2,700 for Children Today charity at annual summer celebration

From live music and a magician to food trucks, a mobile bar, and a selection of entertainment to keep the laughs rolling, we transformed our Leeds depot into a ‘mini festival’ to host over 200 members of our committed team.

In recognition of our team’s hard work, dedication to customers and continual Can Do. attitude, we ended the summer by throwing our annual Party In The Yard celebration. This year, we went bigger and better than ever before!

From live music and a magician to food trucks, a mobile bar, and a selection of entertainment to keep the laughs rolling, we transformed our Leeds depot into a ‘mini festival’ to host over 200 members of our committed team.

Rachael Franklin, Group HR Consultant, commemorated the event by saying: ‘It is so important for us to take a moment from the day to day and let our hair down when the time is right. The consistent commitment from our team to keep the wheels turning to enable the continual success of Walkers is such an achievement, so it’s only right that we celebrate each member of our workforce in style.’

Taking Can Do. to new heights, the generosity of our team allowed Walkers to raise a staggering £2,755 for Children Today – a charity who change the lives of children and young people with disabilities across the UK everyday by providing specialist equipment to families in need. It is with thanks to our customers and friends of the business who donated some fantastic raffle prizes which allowed us to reach this figure, something we are hugely grateful for.
